Too many
cocktails, too many beers, a man rear ends a car and speeds away
Only to smash
into a woman in a Kia in Costa Mesa coming his way
Dead at the
scene at the age of twenty-three due to another DUI
How many
people have to be maimed, how many people have to die?
Another life
due to alcohol snuffed out
It makes one
want to in anger scream and shout
No car is
issued today without seat belts or air bags
Why on one
saving device do we continue to lag
Simple way
to DUIs almost completely block
Every car
off the line should come with an interlock
Before the
first conviction the results cannot be used to convict
Only as a
means to a DUI behind the wheel interdict
Over 800
people in 2012 were killed in the Golden State
Too many
cocktails, behind the wheel with Grim Reaper to await
The monthly
expense would come down
With every
car so equipped as it drives around town
Insurance
rates would drop as accidents decrease
Less people
in jails, fewer lawyers to pay and less high paid police
Has to be a
win, win; why, why the delay
Could it be
for government DUIs actually pay?
