If Our Military Has to Fly
Coach Then So Should Congress Act
A glimmer of hope that
bipartisanship is coming back
Introduced in the House by 2 Blues
and 2 Reds
Give a taste to our Millionaires
Club of air service we mortals dread
Maybe only symbolic as act may not
first class upgrades curtail
But an improvement beyond Pelosi's
military jet usage beyond the pale
Will be interesting to see if King
Reid will allow Senate to act
Some hope to put fiscal discipline
on the right track
Wonder if the pols by being forced
to fly in back
Struggling to put carry ons in the
overhead racks
Or stuck in a middle seat sandwiched
in between
An obese passenger and a mother and baby
not yet weaned
Feeling the circulation slowly dying
to one’s feet
Really missing the comfort of a
first class seat
Will get nickeled and dimed like the
rest of the mortal multitude
Think about laws to prevent airline
gouging and making flying like servitude
